Oh what fun I've had, fleshing this little idea out. Hermione and Severus have been near and dear, and I feel good about the end result. First of all, none of this will make a lick of sense if you haven't already read Mermaid Pearls by
mywitch. Also, in my mind, their island? It's one of the outer, magically veiled islands of Orkney. They fell in love with Orkney some years ago.
lenaa1987 told their love story beautifully with her story Reel a Around the Sun. If you haven't visited these gorgeously told tales, oh my gods.....you are in for SUCH A TREAT!!!

lenaa1987 I am still, still, on such a high. I hope my little homage to your stories will make you smile.

It had seemed like a crazy dream, to leave everything we knew and to start over again, doing something so out of the ordinary. I think the decision was actually easier for Severus, the idea of being so totally...removed. It took some convincing for me to be swayed, but now...I wouldn't trade this life for anything. When we first became the Light Keepers of this small island, the days and nights would blend together. It took months before the rhythm clicked. Luna had said to continue to be patient and open. She was, of course, right. Now we could move through the the day seamlessly, claiming the nights as our own. Severus and I took turns illuminating the sea with our magic, protecting the ships that passed by our tiny rock.
.
.
It was just before dawn, and I could hear the waves crashing against our lighthouse. I sleepily rolled over and found the bed empty. I stretched and smiled, listening to the sounds of breakfast being prepared downstairs. Delicious smells drifted up the spiral staircase, and I could hear Crookshanks complaining loudly about his empty bowl. It was my birthday today. Severus always made me breakfast in bed for my birthday. I hummed in anticipation. It was going to be a marvelous day.
.
.
A marvelous day, a long day, a day full of longing. He asked me earlier at breakfast, while licking a spot of jam from my lips, how I wanted to celebrate. I pretended to think deeply, tapping my fingers against my lips, then said with a nod, "I'll think of something." He nodded as well, and vanished the plates and cups from our laps. "Well," he playfully huffed, "until you decide-specifically-what it is you desire, may I offer-this? And-this?" Gods, but how I loved his kisses.
.
.
Finally, it was evening. I herded him into the small sitting room and pushed him down into our lone couch. Draping myself over him, I swooped in for a quick kiss. I pushed myself up and asked, "Do you know what I want for my birthday?" He smiled that easy, lazy smile and simply cocked an eyebrow. I leaned down and whispered, "To be buried inside of you." A wave of desire rolled over his face. "Mermaid Pearls?" he breathed. "Mermaid Pearls," I agreed.

I slid off Severus and padded to the bookcase where the pearls lived among some of my favorite books. We kept them in the open, where we could see them on a daily basis. We loved finding excuses to swallow one, maybe two, and play. There was nothing like watching his already slender form start to slowly fill out, his breasts becoming plumper, his hair growing longer...then longer still. His body becoming a twin of mine...I shook my head and reached out for the jar. Turning around and gently shaking the pearls, I asked, "One or two?" He sat up and purred, "Oh, I think you know." So it would be two, then. After many days and nights exploring and trying different combinations, we discovered that two pearls kept my body as is, save for the surprise of a rather...gorgeous...cock
.
.
I took the jar into the bedroom and found a pretty cup to place them in. Lighting a candle, I called to Severus. It was time. I swallowed two and then offered the cup to him.

It was hours later.
I awoke slowly, coming up from the depths of another watery dream. Iridescent pearls, swirling hair, yielding fresh, granite thrusts, tongues and smooth skin swam around in my mind, leaving me breathless and wet. I was ready again. Severus's light still shown brightly against the sea, illuminating the rain tapping against our bedroom window. I sighed and snuggled deeper against him. Arms tightened around me and I fell, once again, into the beautiful abyss.
